Michelle Banonis

Michelle Banonis is the Manager of Strategic Affairs with the Regional Water Authority in the Sacramento metropolitan region.  She has over 27 years of experience in the areas of water resources, engineering, permitting, ecosystems, policy, and law.  She has previously served in key leadership roles and gubernatorial appointments at the California Department of Water Resources, Bureau of Reclamation, and Pierce County, Washington Public Works and Utilities.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in environmental engineering from Michigan Technological University, a Juris Doctor from Humphreys University Drivon School of Law, and is a licensed attorney.
