
Karen Gaffney
Karen Gaffney is the Director of Strategic Planning and Communications for the North Coast Resource Partnership (NCRP). Convened in 2005, the NCRP is an innovative, partner-driven collaboration among Tribes, local governments, watershed groups, and organizations focused on healthy watersheds, vibrant communities, and economic vitality for the North Coast region. Ms. Gaffney is a graduate of U.C. Berkeley and Sonoma State University, holds a master’s degree in ecology, and is a Switzer Environmental Leadership Fellow. Her career has focused on conservation planning, climate and watershed resilience, community engagement, and science based ecological restoration. She has served on multiple NGO boards and agency advisory committees focused on conservation planning, landscape scale data, ecological restoration, and youth workforce training.
