Juan Guerreiro

Juan has dedicated himself to improving the water environment. His vision is to create a sustainable water future so our communities can continue to thrive. His mission is to collaborate with external agencies with openness, honesty, and curiosity, and to optimize internal operations by providing a safe work environment for professionals to serve and grow.

Juan has over 21 years of experience in the water industry working in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. He earned a Master of Science in Water Science, Policy, and Management from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from San Diego State University.

He has worked for the City of San Diego for the last 10 years in a growing capacity and since February 2022 has served as the Public Utilities Director.
