Jacqueline Tkac

Jacqueline Tkac is the President of CAPS, UAW Local 1115 (CAPS-UAW), the union of California State Scientists, where she also serves as full-time staff, working with organizers and member leaders to strengthen worker-led campaigns and advance collective action among California’s State Scientists.

Prior to this role, Jacqueline spent more than 7 years as an Environmental Scientist with the Central Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board, focusing on groundwater assessment and protection. Her work included managing domestic well sampling programs and identifying communities at risk of unsafe drinking water.

Jacqueline has also held multiple elected leadership roles within CAPS-UAW, including District Director and Bargaining Committee Chair. Jacqueline is passionate about advancing the human right to water and empowering workers to advocate for themselves and their communities.
