
Itzel Vasquez-Rodriguez
Itzel Vasquez-Rodriguez (she/her/ella) is a Small Utility Project Manager at RCAC, where she provides technical, managerial, and financial assistance to small community water and wastewater systems in rural and Indigenous communities in California. Originally from Lakewood, CA, Itzel’s Mexican and Cora heritage shaped her career path and commitment to supporting underserved communities. Itzel has over a decade of experience spanning nonprofit, policy, research, and water justice work. She earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology and economics from Harvard and a Master of Public Policy degree in American Indian policy from UCLA.
As a member of the California Water Plan Advisory Committee, Itzel contributes on‑the‑ground insight to help ensure that the needs of small systems and underserved communities are meaningfully represented.
