
Brian Lockwood
Brian Lockwood is General Manager of Pajaro Valley Water Management Agency, where he leads a dedicated team of water resource professionals working diligently to achieve sustainable groundwater resources. He oversees the implementation of PV Water’s Groundwater Sustainability Plan Alternative, which focuses on community outreach & education, conservation, recycled water, managed aquifer recharge and recovery, hydrologic monitoring, modeling, and more. PV Water recently published the Pajaro River Watershed Resilience Plan, with funding from the Department of Water Resources, and is preparing a Multibenefit Land Repurposing Plan funded by the Department of Conservation.
Prior to starting at PV Water in 2005, Brian worked for the USGS. He earned BS and MS degrees in Earth Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He is a Professional Geologist and Certified Hydrogeologist. He serves on the Santa Cruz County Water Advisory Commission, and the Association of California Water Agencies Groundwater and Water Management Committees.
