Ann Willis

Dr. Ann Willis is California Regional Director for American Rivers, a national organization working to make every river clean and healthy for people and wildlife. She leads statewide efforts to advance science-based river restoration and watershed solutions that support clean water, resilient communities, and thriving ecosystems. Dr. Willis works with state agencies, local partners, Tribes, and landowners to implement restoration projects and translate evidence-based solutions into durable water policy. Prior to joining American Rivers, she led a research program at the UC Davis Center for Watershed Sciences focused on environmental flows and climate impacts on rivers. She previously worked in consulting and at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and holds a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from University of California, Davis.
