Ali Chehrehsaz

Ali Chehrehsaz is the CEO and co-founder of TerraVerde Energy, an independent energy advisory firm. He and the TerraVerde team lead development of microgrid energy infrastructure for California public agencies. On the California Water Plan Advisory Committee, Ali brings an energy-water nexus perspective focused on practical implementation strategies that help water agencies build and operate the infrastructure needed for a more resilient and sustainable California.

TerraVerde’s serves California public agencies including water and wastewater utilities and local governments. Ali’s team develops technical and financial feasibility studies, manages project procurement, performs project management, and ensures the long-term performance of these energy systems though monitoring, reporting, and asset management services. In 2022 TerraVerde was selected by the Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) as the Preferred Provider for Energy Advisory Services to members of ACWA.

California’s goal of nine million new acre feet of supply will require a vast amount of energy. Ali and the TerraVerde team are committed to building an abundant, affordable, and resilient California.
